* The home match against Wimbledon on Wednesday August 13th - it was Derby's first Premier League match at their new Pride Park ground - was abandoned by ref Uriah Rennie when the lights failed in the 56th minute. Derby were winning 2-1 at the time - match void. It was one of three Premier League matches abandoned because of floodlight failure in 1997/98 (floodlights).
                 

 


Did You Know.....
that in 1937 a First Division match at Stamford Bridge was abandoned because of dense fog...but no-one told one of the goalkeepers!
