      DIVISION 3    1989/90

Leading League goalscorer:
Bob Taylor
(Bristol City)
 27  goals

Relegation for Cardiff City was bad enough, but it got worse for the Bluebirds. They took record receipts for their FA Cup tie against QPR in January - but it was all stolen before it was banked!
(crime & punishment)

Spare a thought for Tranmere Rovers as well. At the end of the season they were beaten in the play-off final and so condemned to another season in Division 3. Then without kicking another ball in anger the summer saw them promoted to Division 2 followed soon after by relegation back to Division 3. Full Story.
