decided over two legs - the format of the byes through the First Round stayed
the same. The 22 First Division clubs plus the 3 clubs relegated from the
First Division the previous season, 1974/75 (Carlisle, Chelsea, Luton) plus the 11 sides
who finished 4th-14th in Division 2 in 1974/75 (Blackpool, Bolton, Bristol
