Quite a season for Mansfield Town. A club record 108 League goals were scored including 35 league and FA Cup goals in a one-month period, a 10 week League break because of the weather (see below) followed by 10 matches played in April (almost a quarter of their entire League programme). At the end they pipped Gillingham on goal average for the fourth promotion spot - by just .116 of a goal!
