The Third Division South Cup was competed for for the first time in 1933/34. In only the third match played in the competition Exeter City beat Crystal Palace by an amazing 11-6 scoreline. Exeter went on to win the competition, beating neighbours Torquay 1-0 in the final which was played at Plymouth.
