*   The first Charity Shield match against QPR was played at the end of the 1907/08 season. The replay was
staged at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea FC.

**  The FA Cup 4th Round match at Burnley on March 6th was abandoned after 72 minutes because of a 
snowstorm. Burnley were leading 1-0 at the time - match void. Abandoned matches.

*** The FA Cup semi-final against Newcastle United was played at Bramall Lane (Sheffield United FC) and the final against bristol City was played at Crystal Palace.
