* The Play Off match against Division 1 bottom side Newton Heath (now Manchester United) was staged at the Victoria Ground, Stoke, and the replay at Bramall Lane, Sheffield. As a result of their defeat Small Heath remained in Division 2 for the 1893/94 season.
