* Chesterfield's FA Cup Second Round tie at home against Blue Square North side Droylsden was abandoned by referee Steve Cook at half time due to fog. The non-leaguers were winning 1-0 at the time - match void.

** Amazingly Chesterfield suffered a second abandoned match against Droylsden when the replay was stopped by referee Colin Wedster due to a floodlight failure after 71 minutes. Chesterfield were leading 2-0 at the time - match void.
