Denis Law scores 6 goals against Luton in an FA Cup tie - but Luton still get through to the next round.

On Saturday October 22nd 1960 Charlton Athletic and Middlesbrough recorded a 6-6 draw at the Valley. The scoreline had only been registered once before - in the Leicester City v Arsenal match in 1929/30.

Rotherham United reached the final of the first League Cup competition, the two-legged final not being played until the start of the 1961/62 season.
