On January 6th 1934 Stockport County recorded the highest-ever score in the Football League when they defeated Halifax Town 13-0 at Edgeley Park. Halifax goalkeeper Stanley Milton has making his League debut for the club in that match! (More debuts). The scoreline still stands as a record although it is now shared with Newcastle United who defeated Newport County 13-0 on October 5th 1946.
