Chesterfield create a new record by scoring in 46 consecutive Football League matches.

Chester were elected to Division 3 (North) at the end of the season. They had scored 170 goals in 42 Cheshire County League matches - but only finished second! Results.

Southport became the first club from Division 3 (North) to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup - where they lost 9-1 at Everton!
